Banqueting House in London

The Banqueting House is a building in italian Reinassance style, situated in central London, completed in 1622.
In 1629 the King Charles I ordered to the painter Rubens the painting that is on the ceiling, which represent scenes proclaiming the reign of his father James I.

The Banqueting House
Charles I had been the only king in history to become executed, in 1649.
His death sentence was executed outside the building.
