 | Covent
Garden is one the oldest inhabited area
in London. When the Romans abandoned Londinium the Anglo-Saxons
occupied the little walled up town. | | In
1985, during the construction of "Jubilee Hall",
several objects of that time have been found such as pottery,
coins, stones as well as an adult skeleton
that is almost complete except for the crane which has not been found yet. |
| Nowadays,
Covent Garden offers several places to see. If you
want to do some shopping, you can enjoy as long as your wallet would allow. You
can also enjoy a huge choice of food specialties
in different stands and as for the culture, the area is surrounded by theaters,
operas and ballets. |
| There are so
many things to see in Covent Garden, you will surely
have to come back whatever your purpose is. | |
