In
1849, Henry Charles Harrods opened his own grocery
shop in Brompton Road. His grocery became quickly famous for the high
quality of its services and its products.
This
fact allowed Charles Henry Harrods to think about the extension
of his shop.
Indeed,
the small grocery from the 1850's has been extended in 1905. Today, Harrods represent
an impressing and huge number of shops that are situated
in Knightsbridge, still located in Brompton Road.
However this
place is well known for its very smart shops, which can only reinforced the image
of London, the city of shopping.
