The National GalleryThe museum "National Gallery" is one of the biggest museums of art in London that houses one of the most impressive collections of European paintings. Those paintings belong to the public therefore the entrance is free.
In 1824, the House of Commons accepted to devote 57 000 pounds to buy the paintings of John Julius Angerstein which has been added to the huge national gallery.
However, one of the recent problems met in the gallery is the lack of space. The area of Trafalgar Square has been chosen to house some part of the collection of the National Gallery because it is in the very centre of London and reachable by anyone.
Nowadays you could find lots of renowned paintings from entire world like the famous sunflowers of Van Gogh, some paintings of Picasso and a drawing of Leonardo da Vinci.
