Westminster AbbeyWestminster Abbey is a medieval building and serves as sanctuary for the royal family since the 13th century. It is also the place where crown and marriage ceremonies have been celebrated since 1066.
The church is also the place where funerals are held; the latest ones were for Lady Diana, the Princess of Wales and for Queen Mother Elizabeth.
Westminster Abbey is one of the most visited monuments of London for its variety of architecture styles.
Indeed, Westminster Abbey offers different styles with a gothic nave, the 13th century ground of Chapter House. Moreover, Westminster Abbey is also a national museum opened to the public.
The visitors can admire tombs and graves of famous British politician and artists.
